The guiding idea of EEM (Ethical Enterprise Management) is that assessing ones personality and compatibility to a highly sensitive position must go further than what is currently considered the industry standard.
The reason why recruiting for high or sensitive positions is so important is obvious: People who are working in sensitive positions accumulate valuable information, which if found in the wrong hands, can lead to sever damages, and perhaps the destruction of an organization.
Any process of evaluation, either of a new employee or of a candidate for promotions should be based on the examination of both professional competence and reliability. Most organizations focus on the professional aspects (either directly or through headhunters, HR agencies) and neglect the reliability, or integrity aspect. The common reason is the lack of an effective, ethical and reliable methodology that can provide it.
There are three main approaches to an evaluation of a candidate:
»"Follow the competence" – Evaluate the professional compatibility of the candidate, without focus on particular aspects of integrity that the position might require.
»"Pencil & Paper" psychological profile – which provides statistical data, and places the candidate under the definition of "likely" or "not likely" to do something. While statistics is very useful for generalization, when it comes to hiring someone, it is the person you are hiring, not the statistics, and you want to know as much as possible about her/him precisely, rather than a generalization that can prove to be true or not true on this specific person.
»Recommendation – though this tool does give a window into the man's prior activity, the information retrieved through this channel will be very subjective and partial.
Thorough research across the globe has shown that the only reliable method to evaluate integrity is through the focus on the candidate's "History Of Life", which might be known to the reader as an educational and psychological technique that allows the person building their own history of life to evaluate themselves through key moments in their past. EEM provides a similar concept in the business world, combining this methodology with that of the governmental intelligence, to create an integrative solution which brings to the decision maker's desk a clear answer, on reliability and integrity, and other topics of interest.
